Colin asking the night we packed to leave-"Dad are you going to wake me up when all the city lights are on"

YOSEMITE! What an outstanding place. We met 5 other firefighter families there and shared smores, stories and joy. There were so many kids there Colin had a blast: playing walkie talkies, bean bag toss, glow stick parties and bike rides. We explores the valley, saw a bear and deer. We celebrated the bear sighting with some jiffy pop. The river was flowing great, we took a boat down the Merced and raced a boat Daddy made Colin (with the help from his friend Jose 🙂 Nothing beats waking up to the smell of a campfire, bacon and the sounds of kids already playing.

This was a quick week, just a few days in-between camping trips… 2 wonderful photo shoots and a day to shoot Colin’s birthday invitations. Am I the only one who envisions a grand idea and in the romance of it forgets that reality makes that idea so much harder to obtain? This photo took 2 adults, numerous attempts, otter pop bribes to the dog and Colin, and MANY laughs in-between. Colin’s birthday is coming up, stay tuned for photos of his circus party.

BIG SUR!~ We took a trip with some of our friends up the coast in a RV. We spent a day in Monterey, went to the aquaruim where Colin litterally RAN through from exhibit to exhibit. We spent most of our week in Pfifer state park http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=578. We hiked, rode our bikes, played games and laughed with our friends. Colin laughed in his sleep,  and told us as he was laying in the RV, looking out the top window….”this is what I have wanted to do my whole life”  a friend told me once in a conversation “if your kids are happy, all is right in the world.” Well spoken… all was right this week in our little world.

I Feel like I’m 5 and I woke up to a pony in my bedroom! I have been wanting a reclaimed farm wood dining table for over a decade now! I have searched and searched,,, Brian Black from Concepts Created made me one! Pieces of the table are 100-300 years old. I seriously had to stop myself from staring at it when it found its home in my dining room!  Ok, so there was other stuff that was fun this week too! We spent the whole day at our friends house for a pool party, the kids grew more scales and we enjoyed the warm memorial day weather and visiting with friends.

When My little sister Katie was small she LOVED the Lion King! She would squeal and say “The lion king, the lion king” 🙂 My mom, Katie, Brett and myself went to see the Lion King at the OCPAC.  lionkingocpac.com

It seriously brought tears to our eyes! (I’m sure Brett didn’t but wanted too!) We also went on Wednesday to a really cool place called Sweet Spot at the Irvine Spectrum. Colin and Mia picked out a plain cupcake and then got to decorate them however they wanted!

Oh I just LOVE typing this… I went PART Time at the hospital  this week, so that means 2 days a week! The Wednesday trip was to Ruby’s (Which my son gave me turn by turn directions too… its right next to San Juan Depot= TRAIN) after Ruby’s we went to Zoomars www.Zoomars.com  We fed bunnies, rode a train, and fought for personal space with some rude goats. 🙂 My favorite quote from Colin this week was “I am not ready for bed, I don’t have a yawn in my breath yet”

HINT: When the bunny tries to jump free, let him down. We had a "Love Bite" Which thankfully was superficial.

Mommies day! My sisters and I took my mom to the harbor house for a yummy breakfast and then shopping at Old Town Orange in the antique stores! fun!! My little family made me feel special with homemade gifts and lots of hugs. We went on a hike behind our house, the trail was in full bloom and we even saw 2 roadrunners~ I pulled up the old road runner song on my phone for Colin and he sung it to me about 19 times… 🙂 Who can pass up an Angels game? We went to watch the Angels, who lost miserably… but we had hotdogs, fake cheese nachos, and sung root root root for the Dodgers. (Colin had them stuck in his head from the last game)
